1) The most important thing to do before you ever begin is lock the pendulum before moving the clock. On most models the locking lever is located near the left front leg of the clock. Moving the lever from left to right will lock the pendulum. If you don't find the locking lever where I described your model my have a locking arm just above the pendulum and below the dial. If it does move it from left to right to lock the pendulum. Now your clock is safe to move and ready to pack.
2) Purchase two boxes one 12" x 12" x 12" and one 16" x 16" x 16" and some bubble wrap. If you can not find the exact size boxes I described larger boxes will work. Available at most office supply store or moving centers.
3) Wrap the clock once around front to back with bubble wrap and then around side to side. This will give you two layers of protection. Example
4) Take the 12" x 12" 12" box and put 1 inch of packing peanuts in the bottom then place the clock in the box top facing up. Now fill the box with packing peanuts and tape shut. Example
5) Tape an envelope to the top of the smaller box with all of your contact information and a description of what is wrong with the clock.
6) Take the 16" x 16' x 16" box and place one inch of packing peanuts in the bottom them place your 12" x 12" x 12" box inside. Fill the box with packing peanuts.Example
Shipping Instruction
We recommend you ship your clock with UPS or FedEx and insure it for $1500 or above. Please remember if your clock is not packed correctly and it is damaged the shipper may not pay the claim. If you have an Office Depot near you they are a UPS shipping location and they do not charge any more to ship your items than if you went to the UPS terminal.
